so remember that trip to the farmer’s market?
one of the vendors INSISTED i try out a new ingredient: the green garlic, aka spring garlic. i had no idea what they were, but they reminded me of green onions, & i read that green garlic had a stronger flavor than them but a subtler flavor than garlic itself.
soooo, out of no particular reason, i decided to make a quiche (for the first time)!
crust was just refrigerated dough. ingredients are:
- 1/2 & 1/2
- green garlic
- cheese (i used cheddar infused with port beer & sharp cheddar)
it was pretty spectacular. i’m not a huge bacon fan (but the boy is) but it was absolutely delicious!
